A mixture of a links and a woodland course, offering beautiful views over the sea on the first 9 holes and extraordinary landscape on the second nine.
Batalha Golf Club is situated on the North Coast of S.Miguel Island, overlooking the sea. Between Ponta Delgada (The Capital) and Ribeira Grande, 10 minutes from Downtown Ponta Delgada, 15 minutes from the airport and 30 minutes from its sister course, the Furnas Golf Course.

The first nine-hole Achada das Furnas golf course was built between l936 and l939, based on a design by Mackenzie Ross. It is situated on São Miguel Island, «the green island», near the grottoes or furnas, and the lake with that name, places which show the volcanic origin of these islands.
The course has all the characteristics of a Scottish one and it is the most British of all Portuguese golf courses. Practically every fairway is undulated, requiring all types of shots, and the greens are excellent and full of borrows.
Furnas Golf Course, originally a 9 hole course designed by MacKenzie Ross was later extended to 18 holes by Cameron & Powell. The course is located in one of the most beautiful parts of S. Miguel Island.
Overlooking the stunning Furnas valley which is famous for its tropical vegetation, hot springs and mineral water as well as featuring one of the largest and most attractives lakes on the Island, it offers the ideal climate for playing Golf all year round.
