Shopping Hours

Shopping is a unique experience in Portugal – from luxury brands to ceramics, handicrafts and gourmet products including cheese, Port and Madeira wine. Come experience it for yourself!

Shops are usually open from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 19:00, sometimes closing for lunch between 13:00 and 15:00. On Saturdays, shops close at 13:00, but this is less common in larger cities.

Shopping centres throughout the country are open every day of the year (except 1 January and 25 December) from 10:00 until 23:00 or midnight.

Banks are generally open from 8:30 to 15:00 from Monday to Friday.

Museums are usually open from 10:00 to 17:00 and closed on Mondays.
