Belas Golf is an impressive 18-hole championship course situated 30 minutes north-west of Lisbon. Designed by American architect Rocky Roquemore, the two 9-hole loops are played around strategically placed lakes, forested hills and deep valleys, offering superb views of Sintra and the verdant countryside. Sustainability is a key part of this project, with a strong focus on maintaining the natural environment, reducing water usage, recycling waste and conserving the biodiversity of the course, which is home to a variety of unique flora and fauna. Lisbon Sports Club

The history of Lisbon Sports Club dates back to 1873, when a group of British expatriates started a private club for playing sports. The present 9-hole course was established in 1964 and extended to 18-holes in 1992. Narrow fairways are lined with beautiful trees and abundant vegetation, while a winding water ditch runs alongside most of the golf course. Wild rabbits, partridges and birds are often spotted, which demonstrates the area’s extraordinary biodiversity. Only 30 minutes from Lisbon, the fairways are immaculately maintained and the area around the property remains undeveloped, creating a truly blissful environment.
